IMMC CALL

An international Call for Applications will be sent to Professionals, Conservatories, High Schools of Music and Universities. It will also be disseminated and publicized on specialized internet websites, as well as on this Official IMMC website.

Once the start date of the process has been published, to be able to access the International Master Music Courses (IMMC), it will be necessary to fulfill a series of requirements according to the SPECIALTY AREA to which the candidate wishes to access and the modality he chooses: Active Participant or Listening Participant.

Therefore, specific admission requirements will be established depending on the chosen modality: Active Participant or Listening Participant.

ADMISSION PROCESS

The fundamental objective of our selection and admission process is to ensure the suitability of the candidates by virtue of their professional trajectory, academic curriculum, academic qualifications and personal talent, in order to obtain the maximum benefit from this training experience.

In all cases, to initiate the admission process it will be necessary to fill in the corresponding ADMISSION FORM so that the profile of the candidate can be evaluated by the Artistic and Academic Committee.

Form must be formalized by each candidate and, together with the rest of the documentation, be sent by email to secretariado@figm.org fully filled in accordance to the requirements for each participant

In case the admission resolution issued by the Artistic and Academic Committee of the CMIM is positive, the candidate may formalize his/her registration in the International Master Music Courses (CMIM) within the term established for it.

EVALUATION COMMITTEE

The CMIM Evaluation Committee will be composed of the Professors of each Specialty and the Academic Directors, chaired by the Director General of the CMIM.

El Comité de Evaluación CMIM decidirá, asimismo, junto a la Directiva FIGM, los candidatos a los que otorgará las BECAS FIGM.

The IMMC Evaluation Board, composed by the Teachers of each Area and the Academic Directors, will be presided by the General Director of IMMC. Evaluation Board will then proceed to the selection of the Active Participants, Listening Participants, and Instrumentalists Members of the Young International Philharmonic Orchestra [YIPO] selected to be part of the orchestra.  Board will also nominee stand-in musicians, who will be allowed to the classes and may be eventually summoned to join the Orchestra, in the rehearsals ad in the concerts, in case of  vacancy or unforeseen refusal.

RESOLUTION OF APPLICATIONS & SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS

Once the selection of Active and Presential Participants and the Granting of Scholarships to the candidates of the ORQUESTAL TRAINING Area, which will be decided by the CMIM Tribunal -integrated by the Professors of the different specialties and the Academic Directors and chaired by the General Director of the CMIM-, the final list of CMIM Active Participants will be published on this website, as well as will be communicated to all registered applicants by email for their final registration.

Admission will be valid only for the academic year 2018 and will be subject to the realization of the reservation of the REGISTRATION PLACE on the established dates.

*Those candidates not selected as Active Participants (as well as those who have registered in the Listening Participant category), may take the CMIM as Listening Participants.

REGISTRATION

Once the selection of Active and Listening Participants has been made and has been communicated to candidates applying for a place, registration can be made.

The admitted candidate must enroll in the term established for it. The documentation required to formalize the Registration, different according to the Specialty, is published on this website. In case of doubt, consult the CMIM Secretariat.

  • The admitted Active and Presential Participants will be notified via e-mail with specific instructions to PAY THE REGISTRATION FEE.
  • After email notification, ADMITTED Active and Presential Participants are requested to pay the Official Registration Fees (see REGISTRATION FEES) by means of a bank transfer to the following Official FIGM Account:

      Graduates and students of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid and the Polytechnic University of Madrid will benefit from a 10% discount on enrollment. Not applicable to other Active/Listening Participants already enjoying a GMIF scholarship.

    MICROCREDITS

    Banco Caminos collaborates with the CMIM to grant Personal Loans for Training in very advantageous conditions to the Active Participants and Participants who, after having been ADMITTED, are interested in obtaining financing for their enrollment. One of these advantageous conditions is the free cancellation of it.
