CAST OF THE ORCHESTRA
The places called for selected participants as active participants members of the Symphony Orchestra will benefit of the Scholarships GMIF.
118 GMIF Scholarships will be awarded to the instrumentalists of all specializations selected to form the instrumental groups and solo instruments which will conform the great Symphony Orchestra, with the required cast for the program, as follow:
The Members of the Symphony Orchestra will be chosen, by strict order of inscription and selection between them who apply to the place to become musicians of the Young International Philharmonic Orchestra YIPO in all groups of instruments and solo instrumentalists integrating the Orchestra.
Between the candidates who have not been selected as members of the Orchestra reserve instrumentalists will be selected for each group of instruments. They will have the option to be members of the Orchestra in the case that the former selected do not formalize his Official Registration in the fixed term, or do not develop his participation, for any reason, as member of the Orchestra at the date of realization of the IMMC.
The specialists Teachers of the respective groups of the Orchestra (woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, harp) are the Teachers soloists of following Orchestras:
– Gewandhaus orchester Leipzig, Symphony Orchestra of Spanish Radio Television, Spanish National Orchestra, Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, Symphony Orchestra Madrid, Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala Miland.
The Participants at the IMMC for Orchestral Training (YIPO) will be called for the beginning of the classes and the distribution of the Orchestra at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, Headquarters of the International Master Music Courses, and will begin the activities with a short period of partial rehearsals directed by the respective Teachers, coming from the most prestigious orchestras of the world, distributed by groups in the following way:
Professor Leader of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig , Prof. Henrik Hochschield for the group of first violins. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the leaders and assistant leaders.
Professor Soloist of Second Violins of the High School for Music and Theatre “Felix Mandelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig and member of the Gewandhausquartett, Prof Aitzol Iturriagagoitia for the group of second violins. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Viola of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig , Prof. Anton Jivaev for the group of violas. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Violoncello of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig , Prof. Hartmut Brauer for the group of violoncelli. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Double Bass of the Gewandhaus orchester Leipzig, Prof. Waldemar Schwiertz for the group of doubles basses. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Flute of the Symphony Orchestra of Spanish RTV, Prof. Mª Antonia Rodríguez for the group of flutes, oboes, clarinets and fagots. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Trumpet of the Spanish National Orchestra, Prof. Manuel Blanco for the group of French horns, trumpets, trombones and Tuba. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the soloists and assistant soloists.
Professor Soloist of Percussion of the Symphony Orchestra of Spanish RTV, Prof. Raúl Benavent for the group of percussion. This Professor will designate the composition of the different stands of the group as well as the timpani soloists and the percussion soloists.
Professor Soloist of Harp of the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala Miland , Prof. Luisa Prandina. This Professor will designate the distribution of the soloists .
Piano Professor Mº Joaquín Achúcarro. The prestigious Concert Pianist will designate and prepare the pianists who will intervene as soloist at the concerts.
Teachers in Singing, Prof Ainhoa Arteta, Prof María José Montiel, Prof. Juan Jesús Rodríguez, Prof Paata Burchuladze, who will prepare the singers who will participate in the cast of the Opera.
